Head of Science

Clifton College is seeking an exceptional and experienced graduate to lead its thriving Science Faculty as Head of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of Science across a large and successful department of 16 subject specialists and dedicated technicians. Science is a popular and high-performing faculty from Year 9 through to A Level, offering AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. A specialism in Physics would be advantageous, though applications from all science disciplines are warmly welcomed.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational classroom practitioner and confident leader, committed to delivering the highest academic standards and promoting STEM across the College. Working closely with senior leadership, they will champion academic excellence, support pupils’ progression to leading universities, oversee enrichment opportunities including national and international trips, and play a full role in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
