People Coordinator

Clifton College is seeking a People Coordinator to join our dedicated People Team. This is a foundational generalist role, acting as the primary point of contact for employees and managers across the College.

You will play a central part in supporting the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring that our HR services are delivered with professionalism, accuracy, and a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, from managing the inbox and advising hiring managers to conducting "Safer Recruitment" checks and maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR).
  • HR Administration: Providing essential support for payroll processing, managing contract changes, and maintaining accurate digital employee files.
  • Compliance & Governance: Supporting internal and ISI audits, managing DBS renewals, and ensuring all people-related data is handled with absolute confidentiality.
  • Data & Reporting: Assisting with the collection of HR metrics, including starter/leaver reports and conducting exit interviews to provide termly insights to management.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with a strong appetite for learning within a busy HR function.

  • Experience: Previous experience in HR administration or a similar high-volume coordination role is preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage a broad range of tasks simultaneously.
  • Attributes: You should be customer-focused, discreet, and comfortable communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Development: we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in continuous professional development and best-practice HR.
